Mrs. Walker is awesome for many different reasons, but just a few: - her lessons are clear & easily understandable - she always smiles and seems to be in a good mood - she is so helpful with anything you ask, and she is very understanding & fair.

Ivelina Amos
Northwest Florida State College

A great teacher who is always ready and will find the time to explain you your questions. Sharing her personal number is a big thing for me. The most I like most is the example she uses to explain something so easier for the material to be understood.

Radni Pirehabdollahkandi
Skyline College

He's a fun teacher that enjoys and loves to teach new fun exciting things regarding technology. Enjoys talking to others about his work and what he loves to do in his free time.

He is a great teacher who knows how to apply what we are learning and being taught to real world applications.

Professor Radni is one of the best teachers I have had so far. He goes above and beyond the course materials, and explain everything in an easy manner.

Proffessor Pirehabdollahkandi is the type of teacher goes above and beyond to create a positive and engaging learning environment, and strives to make sure that every student feels valued and supported. Proffessor Pirehabdollahkand was an incredibly engaging and dynamic teacher who made his classes both challenging and enjoyable. He had a knack for bringing literature to life and making it relevant to our lives, which helped to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the material. What stood out most to me about Proffessor Pirehabdollahkand was his dedication to his students. He was always available to help us outside of class and genuinely cared about our well-being and success. He was patient and encouraging, even when we struggled with certain concepts or assignments. His enthusiasm for teaching was infectious and inspired many of us to pursue careers in education or writing. Overall, I believe that Proffessor Pirehabdollahkand embodies the qualities of a great teacher - knowledge, passion, dedication, and a genuine love for his students. I am grateful to have had her as a teacher and know that she has had a profound impact on many of her students' lives.

Professor Pirehabdollahkandi, is always going out if his way to meet with me outside of office hours and class time, he goes above and beyond leading in the right direction towards excellence, I never seen a teacher care so much , he also checks up on and sends out reminders on assignments and exams.

Randy Salyers
Argyle High School

This teacher is a coach for basketball, he teaches business really well and has taught his classes many valuable lessons that we (the student) uses in the real world.

This man is a great teacher and has really prepared us for the business world.

Jay Mathis
Blacksburg High School

Mr. Mathis is excellent in his field of work and loves teaching students. He is ex-military and is very passionate about cybersecurity type things.

He is a very talented educator that was part of the navy for a decade as a cyber pro before he was the cyber specilest of lewis gale before choosing to become a teacher. They work really hard to teach us and is very jovial.

Mathis is a great teacher who takes the time to get to know his students and be sure they understand the content. He makes the class fun and entertaining and he deserves to be recognized.

Mr. Mathis is by far the best teacher I have had this semester. Mr. Mathis is the most qualified person in the STATE for what he does. Mr. Mathis has taught me and so many others skills that we will use and benefit from for the rest of our lives, all while consistently keeping a smile on his face. Mr. Mathis is absolutely worthy of Teacher Appreciation, which is why I nominate him.

Wolfgang Oertner
Marshall High School

Mr. O is a spectacular teacher, and there is something that distinguishes him from every other teacher I've had through out my 4 years of high school. Mr. O won't let you fail, he will push you and continuously motivate students to keep trying, keep working hard, and to keep getting their work done. There are students in all my classes who struggle and fall behind, and the teachers put it on them to succeed and catch up. Mr. O is different, he makes sure his students know the content, even if it takes longer for some. Mr. O's classroom is disciplined, no one is on their phones, and everyone is always participating and on task. This is because Mr. O implements discipline and professionalism in the classroom, as his goal is to prepare us with skills and certifications to succeed in the IT world. Last year I had a different cyber teacher, I only got two certifications over the school year. Now part of Mr. O's classroom and extracurricular Cyber Griffon Club, I have a total of 8 certifications (6 of them this year), with two more on the way. This is largely due to the mindset and encouragement Mr. O provides for his students. He compares his teaching style to TCP, he checks your received the information unlike a "UDP teacher". Mr. O also implements valuable life lessons into his classroom, as his priority is for his students to succeed. He is inclusive of all students, and treats everyone the same. His class passing rate is juristically higher than the national and state average for the PC Pro and many other certs. If anyone deserves this teacher award, it is Mr. O!

Mr. O has single handedly leveraged the testout platform to transform Marshall High School academy into a high-achieving and widely recognized place across Fairfax County. He gets his high school students, ranging from 9-12 grade, more than 400 certifications each school year combined.

Nichole Collins
Luna Community College

She goes above and beyond for each of her students and the entire Computer Science program at Luna Community College. She just doesn't help in class. She will take time out of her busy schedule and help you when you need help even outside of her scheduled office hours. She also helps students manage their schedules and makes sure they are on track to graduate. She would do anything to help her students succeed and she is an amazing teacher and person for that.

Ms.Collins is on task and gives the opportunity to a student learn at your pace with the chance to re-take exams and the lessons taught are very well explained and presented in a way that a student is able to understand and complete. She is very knowledgeable in this course and has shown to be very understanding and takes her job very serious. I highly nominate Ms. Collins because not only am I taking her course as a student, I am also a colleague who has seen that Ms.Collins passion for what she does supersedes all, she cares for her students and knows that her patients and understanding has made a huge difference in student success at our college. And furthermore she is a superstar when it comes to communication with students and staff. She Rocks!!

Daniel Oleksiw

This teacher goes out of his way to make sure everyone understands the material. He's accepting and loving of everyone. When someone needs a helping hand he is more than willing to help. He's really made me feel like there's a teacher who I can always trust. He's more than a teacher, he's an ally and a friend. He is very smart and always knows what he's talking about. He knows tech like the back of his hand. He's extremely skilled in his field. Mr. O is someone you look up to.

Daniel Palumbo
Erie 2 BOCES

While working 3 other in-field jobs, He finds time to teach the younger generation how to properly work within the field. He has taught us many skills using TestOut and other custom labs, But he always finds ways to make it interesting and fun. He has inspired me to do better and the other students in my class agree as well. He is truly one of a kind and deserves something special for the amount of had work that me puts in to help us succeed. So this is why Daniel D Palumbo Thee Mr Talker/Mr Squirl deserves this.

He is single handedly the most devoted IT professional I think you could ever accept

Jessica Thomas
Focus Hope

Supportive to her students and confident in their abilities, Ms. Thomas ensured that her students succeed in all accomplishments inside and outside of class. Relatable, fun, focused, and informative, she provides excellent guidance.

Ms. Thomas is one of the best teachers I ever had throughout my academic career, In a short 9-10 weeks she displayed humility, fairness, and creative teaching style that I will appreciate moving forward. She is the standard of balancing good learning while keeping students engaged to have fun.

Adrianna Holden-Gouvela
Northern Essex Community College

She is a great professor and really focuses on making sure every student is comfortable learning. She is easy to reach out to and always helps out any way she can. She is my favorite professor.

Andrew Smith
Ensign College

Mr. Andrew Smith is an amazing teacher who encouraged and supported us (the students) throughout the course. He is very patient and helped us understand the course material more especially how to tackle help desk tickets, critically analyze and identify plausible problems of devices, and find solutions.

I recognize that he is a man who loves to teach about technology and transmits that desire to learn to us.

Frank Diaz
Lorenzo Walker Technical College

Frank`s determined to make sure his students are learning and comprehending all the material; even on his off days, he is still dedicated to the cause!!!

Joshua Hesser
Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Crossville

He always tries to make sure that everyone understands concepts of hardware and networking, helps students with their own interests in CIT, and on top of all that has patience with all students no matter what.

Very fun teacher who always tries to make the classroom as appealing as possible. Always answers questions and explain things to people who may not fully understand the concepts.

My instructor has a list of amazing features, that make him an amazing instructor. Josh shows he cares about our learning and is beyond patient with us when we don't understand something. He goes into great detail of understanding an issue. He uses his multitude of years of knowledge in the IT field to help us understand why or how something is implemented and gives us constant lessons on the subject. All of this while making it fun and entertaining for us. Josh doesn't treat us as students only he also shows high morals and ethical understanding that this is a class of adults and treats us as such. If more teachers acted as Josh would then this entire campus would have a higher morale when coming to school. He is a teacher that keeps the motivation high and the learning interesting.

Cheryl Purdy
Western Kentucky University

Dr. Purdy has been an excellent instructor for every single class I have taken with her. She is always very understanding and helpful when I have questions. She also clearly cares about the subject that she teaches, which reflects in her teaching.

She is VERY accommodating, she is helpful and cares about her student's learning, and is available at any moment. She also replies to emails almost Immediately.

Professor Purdy has been the most helpful, compassionate teacher I have had during my time at WKU. Her teaching methods are easy to understand and she is readily available to help anytime. She made a difference in my educational experience. Thank you Professor Purdy!

Dustin Daniels
Pinecrest Academy - Cadence

He teaches us very well. He helps us with everything we have trouble with. He is always on time with answering emails when we need help. He does these cool projects that involve the classwork but more fun. Mr. Daniels is just an over all good teacher and he really needs a nomination. He goes out of his way to make sure we learn the necessary curriculum.

He is very helpful when students have questions. He also does an amazing job explaining difficult concepts.

He is very attentive to our wants and needs. He is willing to help in any way that he can. He is very lenient when we are absent and is happy to accept our work when it is done.

Mr. Daniels took over the Cybersecurity program 2 years ago, which was during the Covid 19 lockdown. He was able to fluidly run the class, and after the lockdown was over, he was able to maintain the same efficiency and even improved it to help his students learn. Now, in his third year of teaching the Cybersecurity program, Mr. Daniels has assisted a handful of students to acquire CompTIA certifications and TestOut LabSim certifications. Overall, despite having only taught the course for a few years, he has been a great instructor and an outstanding role model for all his students.

He is very intelligent and an amazing teacher.

Bill Hill
Tooele Technical College

Has been so helpful. He's shown me tips and tricks on how to navigate LabSim. I'm a single mom of two and he has shown compassion and support in my journey to better my life. He always greets you and is so personable with every student. He's a wonderful teacher and I am very appreciative to have him as my instructor.

Barbara Dickard
Har-Ber High School

She's a hard worker and she helps me with questions that get me confused.

I had Mrs.Dickard my sophomore year of high school for intro to supply chain management and she's the reason why I found a career path I want to take and am excited to go and study. I am currently taking survey of business and she has encouraged me to finish all of my test out to get my certifications and help save me some money by taking this course in high school. She's an amazing teacher.

Flora Roberson
Southern New Hampshire University

This is my first year and term as a student at SNHU. My mother died three days of the first week of my first term as a freshmen. I'm still not sure that I have come to fully comprehend it all. I struggled really bad to understand simple assignments with everything clouding my mind. I gave my instructor a heads up of what had happened and though I was extremely overwhelmed with my mothers death, I was also afraid I would ruin my first term of school. My instructor was going through her own medical issues and I wondered what I would do to ensure I wouldn't fall behind. Well, I fell behind; even weeks later I find myself struggling to stay awake because of depression and try my best to communicate as best I can. My instructor has been with me all the way. Supporting me, quickly responding to my emails sometimes three times a day even, as I stressed and found myself becoming a total wreck. She has been fully committed to allowing me some breathing space to go through my mourning while also encouraging me through my efforts to keep going all while healing from a procedure herself. My instructor in my opinion has gone above to support me in my desires to keep pressing on. Please consider her for this award as she managed in such a settle way breathing life into me as I grieved the death of my mother.

Sara Costello
Waite High School

She's a very kind and helpful teacher, she's very understanding and actually does her job of teaching. She will walk you through steps and go at your pace when you need help and has helped prepare me for several tests that I've passed.

Sarah Forrett

She has this magical ability to take a group of different students and turn them into family. She's a dedicated teacher who always lends out a helping hand. She's done so much for me and her other students, and I would love for her to realize how much we love and appreciate her.

Alison Ence

Super friendly and very helpful. She works hard to make sure we all learn and have fun. She is a very kind generous person who definitely deserves the appreciation and recognition. It would be awesome if you guys would nominate her because she has helped me out in so many ways and has been a great example to get advice from.

Amy McClure
Northwest Technology Center

Mrs, McClure is one of the BEST teachers I have had the privilege of knowing. No matter where you are at academically she makes you feel right at home, I did not do the best in my high school years due to the teachers I had. I know if she would have taught I would have graduated with better grades and a more understanding of the value of learning. She will take the time to help anyway she can, and is always there for you no matter what. She would be a perfect candidate for this nomination, she definitely deserves this and so much more.

Amy Stewart
CTCE Desoto County Schools

She is a great teacher that always helps us the best she can and has never had a student not get their certification by the end of the year.

Great teacher, very hard working and persuasive. Puts the students in the right places to learn.

She is an amazing teacher, she has always taken the time out to lend a helping hand. She has done a great deal in helping me over come class related problems and some personal problems I or any of my classmates were facing.

She has helped us power through three certifications, our upcoming one the Network Pro certification. Mrs. Stewart has also enabled us to take additional certifications, like the Office Pro certification and the PC Pro certification.

She is very helpful and informational when it comes to something students struggle on learning

Brad Chamberlain
Maricopa High School

Our Teacher Mr.Chamberlain is outstanding. He doesn't miss a note when it comes to keeping us on task, he reminds us to keep up with our test out and in class assignments along with our Documentation for class projects we take on. He keeps up to date on our competitions at SkillsUSA and keeps up with our Testout.

He created a student run classroom were we can learn in the areas that interest us. I have never loved a class more.

My teacher is great starting with preparing you with basic IT skills to working an business environment. He is awesome letting his students run a business along as support for teachers in the school.

One of the most supportive and encouraging teachers I've had in my entire 12 years of school. He tries to make sure each of his students leaves a mark in the classroom or at least leaves the class with a certification.

He created a student run classroom, he bought the parts to make everything then the students builds them. We help the school fix or repair any device.

Daniel Cintron
Valencia Accelerated Program

Mr. Cintron takes extra time to tell us about tips and real world scenarios will may face in IT when we get our certification. He is never annoyed or short if we ask to many questions or questions that may appear "dumb". Really appreciate he takes the time to do the extra mile.

Sharon Golett
Southern University at Shreveport

I would say that her office hours are 24/7! The key to understanding the material being taught is the patience and tone of voice used by the instructor. Ms. Gollett has those two important attributes which makes her an excellent instructor.

Andrew Wakeman
Warrensburg Area Career Center

He is a good fellow and a decent teacher.

He's a real swell fella, a swella if you will. He's big good at computer stuff.

Mr. Wakeman is a remarkable teacher who is fantastic at teaching Computer Technologies. He ensures no one is left behind in class and is very legendary among his and our peers.

Elizabeth Meech
Newcastle High School

She is a coach for CDE and LDE contest teams. She teaches skills that can be applied outside of the classroom and just in general life skills. She also helps some of the athletes with basketball.

Ms.Meech is a very supportive teacher and she is a great teacher very patient. She is a great person to talk to.

Ms.Meech is a great teacher and takes a lot of responsibility with FFA and other things. She holds us accountable for our work.

She is an outgoing teacher and helps us when we are struggling but she also pushes us to do better and actually learn the material.

Great teacher. She wants what's best for the kids. Will defend what's right.

Stefan Apperson
Yakima Valley College

Mr. Apperson has been the best teacher / instructor for many students I spoke to. He takes his time to make sure we are all up to speed and understand what we're doing as well as what it is used for. Gives us real life scenarios as well as committing to the students by assisting us in case we missed class and staying later. He has personally helped me with deadline issues from when I lost my family member to not making it to class due to being sick. Everyday he shows up with a smile and a good attitude, making class his home.

David Hurst
MTC Job Corps

He is ex-US Airforce and has had years of experience in IT, started in DELL technical support, and worked his way to teaching at Clearfield Jobcorps in the IT trade. He is extremely patient with his students and challenges them to discover things and learns thing on their own but he will always offer support where it is needed.

Mary Moore
Independence High School

she's really cool and smart and funny she has a son and a daughter she gives us candy and lets us play games and she's really good with excel.

Mrs. Moore is an amazing, fun teacher. Her class is always fun and never fails to be exciting everyday. She has taught me and many others so much and is such a hard worker.

She is the best teacher we have ever had. She helps struggling students, she gives us time when we need it, she bonds with her students, and she connects with all of us, helping us learn better on an individual level, which in a public high school can be very difficult. She is the best of the best in what she does, explaining things thoroughly and helping us build our future.

She is one of the few in truly good teachers. She is wonderful and sweet. She helps where she can and provides everything we could ever need. We all love Mrs. Moore, as she is one of the best teachers, and honestly, if we could clone copy to have more of her, we probably couldn't contain her awesomeness, that is how cool she is. If you don't nominate her, this entire high school shall be very disappointed in you. She is awesome. End. Period. No debate.

I would definitely refer to her as my school mom. I personally have a good home life, but I know other students may not. I say this because her classroom is the most welcoming, lively place in the school. Her love for her students shows in her lessons and activities she comes up with to encourage engagement. She is always very cheery and just all around a compassionate and lovely woman. I have had many things happen during my senior year that effected some parts of my education, and I can say that she has been sympathetic and helpful through every bit of it. Great teacher. Very patient, understanding, cheery, and kind. She enjoys her job and it shows. 11/10, would recommend.

Bill Dougherty
Atlantic Cape Community College - Mays Landing

I'd like to nominate Professor Doughtery for his incredible educational view on a "student/work/home balance". I can recall the first day of class, returning as an adult student, I could feel the anxiety creep up saying, "How am I going to do my class work AND be a functioning human to my family and friends?" And within the orientation of the first class, Professor Dougherty emphasized how important it is to complete the assignments and even more how crucial it was to not pressure ourselves to have flying grades if it'll risk our mental health. Since that day, I have used this viewpoint in all my classes. Ensuring that I do my very best and yet remembering, I am still a person who needs 8 hours of sleep every night. Thank you Professor Dougherty for being a great and empathetic professor!

Moez Ben-Azzouz
Wittenberg University

This is the best teacher I have ever had. Professor Moez explains ideas and concepts thorough and well, and always is available to answer any questions. He also gives us a SURPLUS of information on top of the curriculum such as current events and informational articles. These are simply for the purpose of educating us more in the field even beyond what we are learning in the classroom and showing us that he cares about us and wants us to learn the most we can. Somebody please give this man a check or something.

He equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the field, and encourages them to use technology to make a positive impact on the world. Any student who has the opportunity to learn from him will be well-prepared for their future endeavors in computer science and cybersecurity.

He is a very understanding teacher who motivates us to be the best students we can. Because of the accepting environment he creates, I look forward to coming to his class every day. His passion for teaching is evident and can be seen through high levels of class participation and gives students a newfound respect for cybersecurity and STEM in general.

Brad Mallah
Pinecrest Academy - Sloan Canyon

He is a very great teacher and makes me laugh a couple times and he helps us students with the labs on here and most times records himself doing it so students who missed it can watch it later and do the lab.

Mr. Mallah is a forbearing, yet witty man who puts forth inordinate effort to ensure that his students are provided a learning environment that is conducive to both their growth and wellness. He knows his way around a joke, and his humor has seeped into the hearts of his students such that they can't help but beam even when he tells the worst joke possibly conceivable. Mr. Mallah is a teacher worth recognition of the highest honor, all because of his integrity, passion, ambition, convictions, and abounding warmth. He is a phenomenal teacher, a cordial coworker, and most profoundly, a loving husband.

Jordan Macurak
Culpeper Technical Career and Education Center

Mrs.Macurak is one of the most unique and different teachers I had had in my days of education. Her unique way of using games and competition to push us further really stuck out. She manages to keep the competition healthy but rewarding. She also makes sure that we get an opportunity for available internships in this career field. Her attitude towards education is very persistent. Anytime a student needs help or is struggling, she will not hesitate to do everything she can to compensate and help them. Lots of my classmates have trouble seeing from afar, Mrs. Macurak will go out of her way to print every single page of notes for them so they can properly learn the material. I also enjoy how she brings fun to the classroom. She gives us many opportunities for extra credit that are fun and creative. Overall this teacher makes cybersecurity, which at times can get boring and repetitive, a fun and enjoyable classroom, inspiring me to be the best student I can be every day I walk through her doors.
