Temporary Student Licenses to the RESCUE! 

 


CompTIA offers temporary student licenses for K12 schools that plan to purchase to help resolve various challenges such as: 

  • Getting students started while funding or a purchase order is being processed.
  • Waiting for student numbers to settle after the add/drop period to purchase only what is being used.

Steps to Receive Temporary Licenses for K12 Schools:

  1. Submit Your Information: Enter and submit your information to request your temporary licenses.
  2. Licenses Added: Within 3 business days, temporary licenses will be added to your CertMaster school account based on the products from your current quote or request. Temporary licenses typically expire in 30 days or at the end of the following month(If you need more time, please indicate when you expect your purchase order to be sent in the Additional Comments section below.)
  3. Notification: You will receive a notification that the licenses can be activated.
  4. Activate Licenses: Activate the temporary licenses for your students/class(es) the same way as regular licenses. (Instructions will be sent when licenses are added to your CertMaster account.)

When ready to Purchase:

  1. Send Purchase Order: Send your purchase order to CompTIA before the license expiration date.
  2. Processing: CompTIA will process the purchase order and adjust the licenses to match what is being purchased if necessary. The expiration date will be extended for full-year access, and a notification will be sent.
  3. No Additional Steps: Nothing additional needs to be done by you, and no progress is lost for the students.
