Last Thursday was Groundhog Day. But instead of waking up to another pesky curbside confrontation with Needlenose Ned ("Bing!") and another month of the same old TestOut, we're all still waking up to something brand new: TestOut is now part of CompTIA! Change can be unpredictable, but it can also unlock new potential and create thrilling new possibilities. We're all excited to find out what's next, and we hope that you are too.

Exciting New Developments:
Under New Management
CompTIA acquires TestOut! Remember when Batman joined forces with Superman? We've leveled up to a whole new Justice League of IT Certification Awesomeness. If you haven't seen (or heard) the news, then here are a couple of places to start:
Digital Literacy Pro is the perfect way to introduce students to computers and information technology (IT). With the release of Version 2 on Jan. 24, we've added more content, improved features, and upgraded design. Fall in love all over again, or see what you've been missing.
NOTE: Digital Literacy Pro 1.0 will retire June 30.
Save the Date: Office Pro 8
It's finally time to let the cat out of the bag: Office Pro 8 will be hitting classrooms just in time for the 2023-2024 school year! If you're not already intimately acquainted with the education world's best Microsoft Office teaching solution, then circle Aug. 1 on your calendar. "The Ocho" will have a prerelease preview in early July, with full access on Aug. 1.
Linux doesn't dominate the personal computing market (yet), but it's everywhere present in the business IT and IT infrastructure worlds. Familiarity with Linux in increasingly important to budding IT careers. Unlock the power of the penguin with our newly overhauled Linux Pro training and certification.
There's a whole world of Microsoft certifications and one key point of entry is the Hybrid Server Pro: Core course that we released at the end of 2022. Our upcoming Hybrid Server Pro: Advanced course will help students build on that foundation and open a wider window into the world of Azure technology. Watch for updates as the year progresses!
Attention, K-12 Instructors: Do you need to Return a Product License to your pool? Sometimes a student decides to take a different class and moves on before they've really even gotten started. If a student drops your class with fewer than two hours of progress, then you can return that student's license to your pool. Our informative video will walk you through the process!
K-12 instructors, do you need to evaluate a new TestOut course? Or would you like to introduce a colleague to TestOut learning solutions? Free Classroom Access will be available through July 31. (Note: Only available to first-time customers or to help existing customers evaluate new products.)
Students and other IT newcomers don't have to have a job to put their IT skills to the test and gain valuable workplace experience. Many organizations and businesses need IT support and services but don't have the right employees or resources. You can turn their lack into a golden opportunity.
You don't have to have a college degree to work in IT. On the other hand, 2023 Salary Survey data indicates that most certified IT professionals do have college degrees. And if that's your springboard to an IT career, then there's a good chance you'll land in a higher salary bracket than peers with no degrees.
We appreciate having the opportunity to work with so many outstanding educators and we appreciate everything you do for your students! Please reach out to us with any questions you might have. We are always here to help.
