Resources to Help Usher in the New School Year:
New Courses & Certifications
We had a busy summer improving our IT education offerings. We'd love to help you get to know any of our new or upcoming courses:
Do you have students who need to wait for financial aid before being able to purchase their activation codes? We offer a free two-week temporary master activation code to help ensure all students have access on the first day of class. You can access this directly in LabSim.
Digital Literacy Pro, our course-length introduction to computers and IT, was built by teachers, for teachers. Help your students create a foundation for modern careers and modern life.
Did You Know: Digital Literacy Pro has a secret superpower! There are nearly 900 questions available in the custom exams section that aren't shown to students anywhere else in the course. They'll learn the information, but won't just be memorizing answers.
Boost Student Success with 'Return to Lab' Feature
We're thrilled to introduce a new feature now available for our PC Pro 7.0 and Digital Literacy Pro 1.0 courses. With our new "Return to Lab" functionality students can exit a lab, check their progress, then go back and pick up where they left off. With Return to Lab enabled, they will see their progress on required tasks without seeing the explanation steps.
Return to Lab is an opt-in feature. You will need to enable it for your school in order to get the benefit.
When students finish a school year, they move on themselves. What, on the other hand, happens to them in LabSim? Did you know that you can clean up old class rosters yourself? This LabSim screen capture shows where to find this functionality.
From the Pages of Certification Magazine:
IT In the Middle of the Pacific Ocean
Like any ordinary teenager, Megan Ameigh had a brief gig singing and strumming a guitar at a yacht club in the Marshall Islands. She also found time to put her TestOut PC Pro certified skills to work fixing Chromebooks.
Practice? We're Talking About Job Interview Practice
You can practice your piano pieces. You can practice shooting free throws. Can you practice interviewing for a job? You sure can. Students preparing for a professional job interview don't have to go in cold.
We enjoyed seeing and speaking with many of you at the inaugural TestOut Elevation Summit in July. If you weren't able to attend, however, you can still benefit. We recorded everything and put it all online!
